Firestone PVC KEE XR is a flexible and durable PVC KEE roofing membrane produced with a polyester weft-inserted reinforcement and a 5.5-ounce non-woven spunbonded polyester fleece backing.
The polyester weft-inserted reinforcement increases the membrane's strength and restricts any damage in the event of a puncture. The polyester fleece backing also enhances puncture resistance, particularly in hail-prone climates. As a material, polyester helps improve the membrane's dimensional stability and its resistance to fatigue.
Firestone's PVC KEE membrane formulation uses a custom blend of PVC and DuPont™ Elvaloy® Ketone Ethylene Ester, a solid plasticizer that bonds with the PVC to ensure consistent and dependable plasticizer retention throughout the roof's service life. Together, PVC and KEE are a dynamic, durable duo that makes for an incredibly chemical, grease, and fire-resistant membrane. The Firestone PVC KEE formulation has proven itself in-market for 30 years and counting, and it's backed by our Red Shield Limited Warranty.
Installation flexibility enables the roofing system to be adhered with Firestone PVC Water Based Bonding Adhesive, ISO Spray R, or Twin Jet foam adhesives. The Firestone PVC XR membrane may also be mechanically attached with approved Firestone fasteners and HD Seam Plates.
